HIGH SCHOOL TRANSFORMATION AND SPECIAL EDUCATION

Students with disabilities are not learning what they need to be successful in post-school life.  Dr. Elise Frattura and Dr. Wayne Sailor along with 3 other practitioners in the field comprised a forum and then invited educators to discussions.  The discussions enabled the forum to define the problems and solutions to this problem.  Drs. Frattura and Sailor discuss why and how special education is overlooked, provide several specific recommendations and structure and processes for an entire district team to consider.
