Author Ellen McPeek Glisan has created a thoroughly organized, easy-to-implement life skill program for transition students with mild to moderate disabilities.

The goal of the 650 Life Skill Lessons is to teach an important concept in just five minutes. Five categories align with the general curriculum: Math, Social Studies, Science/Health, Expressive Literacy and Receptive Literacy. For example, Assembling First Aid Kit and Making an Apology are linked to social studies.

The Activity Software gives quick access to electronic documents of all 650 lessons. Find lessons by learning style, life skill category, curriculum area or lesson ID number. Software is Windows only.

The PACT manual encourages parental involvement by providing 350 of the lessons as activities to work on at home. In addition, a resource checklist helps identify the skills that need review. PACT provides photocopy rights and a PDF for printouts and emails.
